Evaluation Question 6

Evaluation Question 5

5. How do you feel about developing to A2 level now your have completed this task?

Going on to A2 Media will be a great time for me as I have made new friends and also I have developed and learnt new skills. For example when I started AS Media I had never used Photoshop before and this was clear when I was making my first product. The lacked use of different fonts, bad editing of pictures and un co-ordinated layout is now juxtaposed with my latest piece of a music magazine which was soo much better. Also I feel more prepared for the task that I will be doing as I have seen the amount of work needed for the three week task we have done and I know what I need to do in order to achieve the A2 work.

Evaluation Question 4

4. How successful was your product? Why do you think it was successful or unsuccessful?

My product was very successful as the timing of the lip sync was very well in tune with the audio of the original video. Apart from a few difficulties of getting the voice in time with the actress it all went as planned and we didn’t have to re-shoot anything. Also the successfulness was helped by the weather on the day of the filming. What I found was unsuccessful was the last shot of the camera going across the actress’ mouth was slightly off and shaky but that was because it was hand held and we didn’t have the professional equipment to make it stay perfectly still. If I have to do this again when I do my own video I try different methods and will attempt to keep it horizontally straight.

Evaluation Question 2

Evaluation Question 1

What did you find most challenging? and why?

The most challenging part of the product was the filming. The filming of the product took a lot of time and patience as the some of the shots were hard to get and especially the hand held camera action across the mouth for the final shot. This was a hard angle and shot to take as we had to keep the camera still and horizontal the whole time and also had to move it keeping it aligned. We tried to get around this by having the camera tripod on a wheelie chair but the wheels kept getting caught, then we tired putting the cameraman on the chair but that didn’t work. Eventually we were able to just manually move the camera across the mouth although it took a few shots.

Another problem we had was getting the people evolved to the filming location. The main actor lived miles away and had to get two trains in order to get home after the filming, this cost money and time but although it was a small inconvenience we were able to get around it by chipping in to giving the actress some money.

SAIL Lyrics

Lyrics for SAIL

This is how I show my love.
I made it in my mind because
I blame it on my A.D.D. baby.

This is how an angel cries
I blame it on my own sick pride
Blame it on my A.D.D. baby
SAIL!
SAIL!
SAIL!
SAIL!
SAIL!
Maybe I should cry for help
Maybe I should kill myself (Chorus: myself)
